This is not even mentioning the literal arming and trainjng of the fascist contras during this time, look up Iran contra, but the point stands: If you stand for democracy, you stand against imperial sanctions and you cannot have one without the other.

This is kind of a caveman explanation, but it’s so true. The first thing anyone reaches for geopolitics is violence whereas violence is very often the literal worst option

You must consider why these protests are being highlighted and not other ones, why does there seem to be an insurgent push? Why does there seem to be a massive universal consensus? And why does it all seem to be to America’s benefit?
