As we were walking out of Paddington in Peru, a random dad told us loudly: “i heard it’s got a post-credit scene you’ll want to stick around.”

For…a Paddington movie.

I think I’ve been radicalized against Marvel and the rot it has brought upon society

Having a coherent visual style in photography is cool, but I think having a coherent philosophical style is probably more important

If I have to keep all my content neatly on topic and only about Photography, I’ll probably die.

Anyway, here’s this week’s Double Negative Dispatch about The Brutalism of RoboCop doublenegativedispatch.substack.com/p/we-are-all...

Presence seems kinda like The Brutalist in that we are talking way more about how it’s made than the movie itself. I know Soderburgh shot it on a consumer Sony camera but…like…is it good?

I think The Brutalist is a new American Classic, but unfortunately the discourse around this movie seems to be around how it was made (shot on film, VistaVision, etc) and less about the ideas of the film. It’s marketed for enthusiasts which does the whole movie a disservice

Never seen a movie with an intermission before. 10/10 would recommend if you drink too many liquids before and during the movie

This morning I was going to shoot a video but I didn’t wake up with enough time to make coffee.

I knew I wouldn’t be lively on camera so I bailed and stayed in bed. Whoops

I’m sad to admit, I love most David Lynch movies but I struggle to get through Twin Peaks. It’s so influential to modern TV that it feels like I’ve seen it before. Kinda like how we all see Jaws through cultural osmosis before actually seeing it
