Dixie Dean, arguably the greatest goalscorer in the history of English football, was born #OTD in 1907.

He scored 310 times for Everton in the English top flight — a record for one club — and his 60 league goals in 1927-28 is 11 more than anyone else has netted in an English top-flight season.

CONFIRMED:

Manchester United will play just 40 games this season — their fewest in a campaign since 1914-15 (39 games).

(This excludes seasons impacted by war).
