The half(ish)🌗 moon through my telescope last night, as well as the moon beside Mars. It was a very nice night, but a bit breezy for the telescope. No luck on the ISS yet, but I discovered my app was off on time tracking for it by about 2 min. 2 weeks ago it was accurate to the second🤷‍♀️

Have been trying to line my telescope up w/ the path of the ISS using stars & constellations as markers. So far, weather/timing/focus issues have always come up. Tonight I stayed up aiming to see it pass just under Altair at 4:18. Had it lined up, & no joke, hazy clouds rolled in at 4:17

when i wrote BURY YOUR GAYS generative ai was not really a thing. publication takes a year to set up and when it came out i thought 'dang this is relevant.' now with LUCKY DAY theres so much about a government agency without guard rails and i just think 'dang is it dangerous for me to write horror?'

I can't seem to sort out the camera settings yet to pick up details on jupiter, and vibration from the breeze doesn't help🙄 but this is one I got a week or so ago. Not very crisp, but at least you can faintly see stripes and 4 moons. #jupiter 🔭📸 🪐📸 #astrophotography

When go to the bathroom. I use the hidden bar soap that I hit out of sight so when somebody uses it after me, they think I didn't wash my hands and I want to see if I can tell if they realize that and act different around me. But in actuality I did wash my hands cause I'm not gross

I've enjoyed looking at specific sections of the #moon lately when I take pics. I was gifted an #astronomy book on the holidays, so now I can name things. I always think the dark patch in the center of this Pic looks like #luffy from #onepiece. Called Mare Humorum, lowland plain 420km across. 🌔🔭📸

You can see the tycho crater on the center right, but the dark patch in the center of the picture is a lowland rounded plains that looks(to me) like a smiling face wearing a strawhat. The moon isn't completely full, so the edges of it are marked by many craters.

I pretty much exclusively listened to shibuya punk music and the jet set radio soundtrack while working on this. Egghead just has such a similar aesthetic. Realized quote repost probably works better for tagging

Nami from egghead, end of 2024. My first finished digital art piece. It was to practice skills I struggled with (color theory, minimalism, letting things be messy, & warped perspectives). I re-did whole sections to practice, & I'm happy with it. Style inspired by OG jet set radio promo art.

The sky takes up most of the background, light blue, with a swirl of clouds in pastel blues, pinks, and purples. The main focus of the image is the character Nami from one piece. She is wearing the outfit from that arc. A fitted and very short mini dress, which I chose to tint purple. Its sleevless,with a hood. The letters SSG are on her chest. Her footwear are rocket boots of sorts, bubblegum pink with orange highlighting. She is seen flying above the city holding her 'clima-tact', which is a bright orange, and very baton like. She has orange hair, and blue headphones. Her arm on the right side has her tattoo, and log pose for navigation. The log pose looks like a watch.
