Year 11 had a successful trip to HOME Cinema for their GCSE Study Day. The German language film was thought provoking and intriguing. This was followed by profound discussion, which impressed the visiting lecturer from Manchester University.

Our Primary Phase have celebrated Chinese New Year! Our Reception children loved taking part in a Chinese dance workshop and all pupils enjoyed a special Chinese New Year menu in the canteen. It was a wonderful day of culture, dance and celebration! 🐉✨ 🧧🎉

A fantastic Culture Day celebrating the diversity of our school community. Students and staff wore cultural clothing, enjoyed music on arrival and took part in workshops delivered by 84Youth and Milk Education. Proud to have raised just over £450 for Manchester Refugee Support Network.

A group of our students entered the Manchester Schools Open Badminton Tournament last week. Two of our KS4 boys secured joint third place medals and one KS3 boy secured the third place medal! Well done to all the boys and girls who took part.

Our Year 3 children wrote letters to their favourite authors and we were thrilled when one very special author wrote back! 🎉📖

The amazing Julia Donaldson, author of The Gruffalo, sent a letter back! The children were absolutely delighted and this really made their writing feel worthwhile.

Year 3 travelled to Delamere Forest to try out their skills needed to survive in the woods. The children enjoyed building dens and small shelters using tree branches. They also toasted marshmallows, weaved willow into tree decorations and had a chance to play.

Primary Phase Chocolate Dash! 🍫 This week, names were drawn at random in our chocolate dash raffle and when a name was called… it was time to dash! Children raced into the hallways to collect chocolate from the selection left in the corridors.

On Monday, members of Harmonix Vocal group and Senior Voices entertained residents at Chorlton Place Care Home.

This week our Primary children were treated to some festive fun at their Christmas Fair.

There was Christmas tree crafts, a photo booth, toy raffle, bauble bobbing and the children even had the chance to soak their teacher!

Another day and another fantastic visit to the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital with a brand new set of students from Harmonix Vocal Group and the Senior Choir. After our previous successes of raising money for the 'Medicinema Appeal', we hope today also added funds to the final total.

A brilliant National Christmas Jumper Day in school today! Students and staff wore festive jumpers and accessories, raising funds for Cash for Kids Greater Manchester, a charity supporting vulnerable children across the region. We’re officially in the Christmas spirit!

This morning our KS3 students took part in a Careers Drop Down event, meeting a range of businesses and discovering future education and work opportunities. A meaningful and inspiring experience that supports the Gatsby Benchmarks and helps prepare our young people for their next steps.
