Yesterday was a referendum on the state of affairs in the USA. Democrats in office take note: the people want you to stand up to Trump and fight his nonsense head on. They want no more waffling. Get out there and get in his face.

In Highlands County, Florida, a quite red county, we had our No Kings protest today. We had at least 200 people protesting. This view shows most of the protestors, but some were across the highway, as well.

Remember May 1, another day of nationwide protests against authoritarianism in the United States.

The day I start seeing the Gulf of Mexico appear on maps as the Gulf of America I will start calling it the Gulf of Wilhelm Klink. I think that will be fitting, considering who is trying to rename it. No offense to Mexico. I think the name it has had for centuries will rightfully prevail.

I discovered this site in a news article yesterday. I had been on the Post social media site once Twitter was taken over by Elon Musk. Post eventually closed and I found nothing suitable, so I looked some at X, as he calls it, again. I hope this can be a viable alternative.
