Can’t trust anyone anymore… was there even a bird of prey in H Is For Hawk?

Gonna be enough copies of that Salt Path book clogging up K6 phone boxes on leafy village greens up and down the land.

Reminiscing with a mate about this… Can’t really believe I was there. Absolutely stupid line up. 80 quid (£152 in today’s money). Completely nuts. All the bogs got set on fire. Woodstock for the ‘90s.

New Half Man Half Biscuit record is a hoot if you want a surreal hyper- specific distraction from global affairs.

One of the few good things this government seemed to attempting was to introduce a right to not rot away in abject misery, but we’re not even getting that, it seems.

Seriously, what is it with boomers and pressure washers? Any excuse.

Such a fantastic championship! Obviously, I wanted someone who was playing when I was still at primary school to win it but what a player Zhao Xintong is!

Williams only 10 frames from the World Championship!

www.bbc.com/news/article... What a joke. I don’t know any of their stuff - might check it out now - but guessing it must be pretty middle lane to be doing an @edenproject.bsky.social session. Remember some of the Manics stuff Nicky Wire and Richey Edwards used to come out with in the 1990s. 😂

So happy the BBC have brought back the original Doug Wood Band ‘Drag Racer’ theme for the snooker!

Big news from the mudflats!

The UK’s oldest known Oystercatchers - aged 41 and 43 - have been discovered on The Wash.

That’s three times their species’ average lifespan!

Honestly, I’m glad I always kinda hated Harry Potter anyway. Even if there is a veneer of ‘common sense’ to the Supreme Court ruling it’s pretty obvious the case was brought simply to shit on a marginalised group of people. The idea that trans women are a threat to biological woman is laughable.

Definitely two camps on phone box Facebook - those who like the kiosks and don’t care if they’re full of shit books and those like me who feel like the entire essence is stripped once the phone is removed.

Took about an hour and twenty minutes, a few nice chats and a fair few straight to answerphone but that’s 52 calls made today from Zennor phone box and OFCOM can’t now let BT take the phone away. Thank you.

I’ve got such a good collection of mid-century wool and silk ties. Mostly they belonged to a dead architect who designed the (sadly demolished) brutalist police station in Truro.
