For our November miniseries, we are looking a few options (see below)! In the thread following are links to the games themselves:

It's 2025 and I turned to my old Blogger site for new writing and posting. It's not even an April Fools post. Notes about reading the Codex Alera epic fantasy series by Jim Butcher www.willemvdh.com/2025/04/the-...

new newsletter! I'm relaunching as a monthly edition. Playing with pricing in Moonlighter (a video game in which you play a dungeon looting adventurer by night, and shop owner by day, which got me thinking about pricing and price elasticity).

I'm reading Nexus and getting to the epilogue at 52% of the ebook, realised the other 48ish percent is probably the bibliography, which I kept thinking throughout the book seems pretty thorough and diverse. Very much enjoying it, I'll probably finish it today. www.goodreads.com/book/show/20...

Happy Valentine's day everyone! It turns out cutting chorizo slices into heart shaped is not that easy 😅. The Spianata was a little easier

Comparative taste test this morning! A friend brought Vegemite back from Down Under. Quite different. It's easier to spread, feels sweet carrot like first, saltiness coming after. Marmite is stickier, feels like a burst of saltiness first enveloping the whole mouth. Marmite wins (for us)!

All right, let's test run this thing a bit. Big treat this past weekend, a special visit to the Louvre with friends from the wine bar we like to hang out at. Our painter friend Sébastien Le Blanc guided us through some of his favorite artists and paintings. www.instagram.com/sebastienleb...

@jcvim.bsky.social Funny enough I'm queueing for an Eddie Izzard show in Paris, listening to Haunted City S01E20 with Jarod asking about comedy and you mentioned her. Small world!

In other news I requested a download of my Foursquare account location data. I happened to look for places I'd been in South East Asia 12 years ago. It turned out Foursquare remembered better than I did. But maybe it won't be there next time. Audioboo isn't; I think those may well be lost, sadly.

My 1st tweet ever was on the 16th December 2007: "I'm checking Twitter out" Nearly 16 years on, I have an additional 160 characters to express myself on Bluesky. I still have 142 characters to practice saying less with more now. That my friends is progress, tangible change we can wholly appreciate.
