A new project for a friend. Color blocked courthouse steps inspired by the lovely Tara Faughnan. My last six months in her Block Studies Collective gave me such a new perspective on color and her teaching has influenced my creative confidence more than I could’ve imagined! ✨

The Lone Starburst is my favorite block I’ve made in a quilting bee this year! We needed some extras for this month in our bee and I was thrilled to make another. 10/10 recommend it!

I love pattern testing and had the pleasure of trying out Kanako Fukatani’s Twirling Ends Pouch last month! I feel like I’m always looking for extra-special patterns to make as gifts and this one hit all of the marks for me! It’s a functional, beautiful work of art for daily life ❤️

This quilt was such a delight to make, scrappy 1” log cabins, surrounded by 1” squares in the border. It took absolutely forever (5 months 😂), but it taught me to slow down and enjoy the process. I hope to have more of that in 2025.

Meadow Star quilt finished!!! Heading to Ohio today for thanksgiving and thrilled I finished it in time to gift it to my sister. I included hand-stitching around the stars and ties in the center as a small tribute to the beloved quilts of our grandmother ❤️. #quiltsky

Have you ever made something that makes you so effervescent, you just can’t stop? I felt that way when I was playing around with improv hourglass blocks and suddenly just KNEW what I had to make. This wild, sparkling pickle dish quilt was born of that feeling. Design wall progress so far. #quiltsky

Last month, I joined Tara Faughnan’s Block Studies Collective. Here are a few of the studies I’ve made so far, one of which really set my creativity off and I’m expanding it into a larger piece. I’ve loved this workshop and would recommend it to anyone looking to play with color!
