Congress passed the “Big Beautiful Bill.” Montana’s whole delegation voted for it. It was signed into law by Pres. Trump on July 4th. So let’s catch up.

Congress just handed control of 200 million acres to oil and gas corporations. Gutting oversight, slashing royalties, and selling out Montana’s economy, communities, and outdoor heritage.

This isn’t energy policy. It’s theft from the American people.

Let’s be clear: Sen. Daines’ and his colleagues’ efforts to hand over our public lands to private companies and their billionaire CEOs have nothing to do with supplying reliable, affordable energy to MT families.

They are part of the effort to dismantle our public lands.

Last night, House lawmakers removed bill language that would have sold over 500,000 acres of public land.

This is a big win. We thank Rep. Ryan Zinke for his leadership in getting this amendment removed.
