Finished my last day at work. I start the new job next week. It feels bittersweet and weird, but I'm excited. My next five days are gonna be a combination of celebrating, chilling, and a few prep errands. I got hugs and well wishes.
It's been a rough year, but this is the best I've felt in a while.

I know we just turned our clocks and this happens every year at the same time, but whenever it starts getting dark at 6 PM again it's always this surprise that feels like it crept up on me while I wasn't looking.

It's weird having a visceral hatred for an entire category of food except for two exceptions and those two exceptions are actually some of your favorite foods. I can't stand soup. It'll make me puke. Savory taste and liquid texture does not compute. Unless it's miso or lentil soup then I love it

Just knowing I'm done with this job soon feels like a huge weight off my shoulders. These shifts were getting very hard on my mind and body (part of my schedule is 12 hrs on both weekend days), but they'll be my last ones, so I feel better already. That's been my schedule for over a year.

This morning I had a dream I was trudging through extremely snowy mountains in the middle of the night trying not to freeze to death and looking for somewhere warm to go.
I woke up and my apartment was way colder than usual.

The funniest thing about getting spam email from "art galleries" supposedly wanting to "collect" my art is being fully aware no one out there is collecting silly art I'm making of my OCs and I very much do not make the kinds of things you'd put in a gallery. You're not even scamming the right person

I'm at the point in my job search where I'm starting to get some good leads and responses after tenaciously applying to multiple jobs almost every day since the beginning of the month. Fingers crossed! I'm excited to not be a security guard anymore. And to get... proper employee benefits!!
