Another resistance quilt finished this week. The eye is my own design, the letters are a fpp pattern by QuiltByNight, the rounded corners and black binding are meant to resemble the phones we the people are using to document the horrors and disprove the government’s lies about what they are doing.
A multicolored quilt made of of scraps with the words WE KNOW WHAT WE SAW staggered down it with a large beautiful eye centered between the words. The eye has a rainbow camera aperture as the iris. It is quilted densely.

After 6 months of on-and-off work, this #dinosaur quilt is finally finished. I am really pleased with the flange binding, which I learned because the black I had for binding didn't match the black in the border and it was A Problem.

More late 19th century indigo and white quilts at the Iowa Quilt Museum.
Thousands of indigo and white triangles. Each pair of triangles makes a 3/4 x 5/8 inch rectangle. Detail of the indigo and white triangles. Indigo and white quilt from the late 19th century. There are indigo stars set in a nine-patch with solid white squares, then those blocks are set in a nine-patch with large solid white squares. There is lovely elaborate quilting in the large white spaces.

Lots of applique work on this one. "Drunkards path" indigo and white quilt from late 19C. The large white spaces are quilted using the trapunto technique.

The #LabyrinthWalk quilt is finally completed and gifted, and my son loves it! I employed a fair amount of cussing, ripping, and re-sewing and learned about the errors/imprecise choices I make most often. Really pleased with the results but not in a hurry to make another.

This quilt got finished and gifted without taking glamour shots. It was made using Villa Rosa's Twinkle pattern, with added blue borders. I picked up a double charm pack at a yard sale and don't remember the fabric line.

Quilt progress! Got borders on 10 min after the studio was supposed to close, so no time to snap a photo of the completed top. This has a couple of borders that extend/unify the labyrinth, and then a nice 6" finished black border, and will be bound in black. Finish ETA: end of August. #LabyrinthWalk

Some works in progress.
Dresden plate and accent strip made from aboriginal fabrics. This was a workshop with Candice Grisham. There will be 4 plates like this one, and another 3 or 4 in different designs. The background will be a light tan dot on cream. This pattern is called Labyrinth Walk, made in shades of black, white, and grey. I have all of this block type finished and am working on the second block type. These are some blocks made in a class with Scott Flanagan. Mine is the top row center, and will be a "forest friends" themed quilt for my grandson. It has a medium brown background with twined links of dark grey with blue quail and light green with bears. These are some blocks made in a class with Scott Flanagan. Mine is in the lower left corner and will be a dinosaur themed quilt for my grandson. It has a bright yellow background and a central star made of a dinosaur fabric with teal and green rays.
