They are quite capable of handling any genre thrown at them, however, their focus is heavily on late 60’s and 70’s Afrobeat, Soul, and Funk with a contemporary spin on the genres. Big bombastic horn lines are the norm, as well as an airtight rhythm section that stretches and sews the pocket but never leaves it. They are ambassadors of a music that is not so readily available in a live setting in this day and age. They will move you.

Pop, piano & electric come together for a series of stories. Birds with Teeth (Little Rock) Birds With Teeth is an indie rock band with influences from bluegrass, to jazz, to early 2000s pop punk. The band consists of Tai Nishuichi on guitar and vocals, Stephen Sivils on keys, Max Campbell on bass, and JB Ross on drums. Post-Apocalypstic (Little Rock) Performing for the first time together, Post-Apocalypstic is a wiggle and a jiggle. Formerly Lusterfvck, they regrouped with new faces and sounds like folks who like showtunes, blues, indie rock, big band, and punk all got together to see what happens. Members consist of Rod Mallard on drums, Jamie Joheim on trumpet, Jesse Knight on clarinet, Cass Andrus on bass, and Ren Gudino on guitar and vocals.

This Sunday, November 9th! Early 6 p.m. show with the great Patrick Sweany & his amazing band. Doors open @ 5 p.m. and tickets are available for $20 bucks. This is going to rock. Nashville based bluesman Patrick Sweany fuses elements of Americana and southern rock to produce his distinctive, soulful stylings. He rose to prominence in the late 90’s and later formed the trio, The Patrick Sweany Band, featuring Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys among a revolving cast of musicians. He signed with Nine Mile Records in 2006, to release C’Mon C’Mere -- the first of six albums on the label (two produced by Auerbach). Sweany spends a great deal of time on the road, having played 48 states and much of Europe. He's played premiere festivals (Newport Folk Fest, Merlefest, Montreal Jazz Fest, Telluride Blues & Brews) and supported international acts such as The Black Keys, The Tedeschi Trucks Band, The Wood Brothers, Hot Tuna, and others.

It's going to be a beautiful night of music with Willie Watson and his band along with Gabrielle Hope opening the show at 8pm ✨ Doors open @ 7pm * Tickets @ www.whitewatertavern.com For over two decades, Willie Watson has made modern folk music rooted in older traditions. He’s a folksinger in the classic sense: a singer, storyteller, and traveler, with a catalog of songs that bridge the gap between the past and present. From his early days as a founding member of the Old Crow Medicine Show to his current work as a solo artist, he is a celebrated musician with a rich vocal range, a top interpreter of the folk canon and a highly skilled multi-instrumentalist. Gabrielle Hope is not your average 20-year-old singer-songwriter. Raised in Tennessee as one of 10 kids and now based in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley, Hope eschewed college due to its high cost and turned towards the world of shape note singing in search of community. Practiced for centuries, shape note singing allows for easier sight reading because the practitioners start with syllables (fa, sol, la, mi, etc.) and add in lyrics later. Particularly in Appalachia and the South, oftentimes in churches, large groups still come together to learn four-part harmonies and honor this sacred tradition

Tonight 💥 Mark Currey Record Release Show w/ special guest Abby West Pates * 7pm * $10 In the Spring of 2025, Mark Currey entered Fellowship Hall Sound in Little Rock to record the follow-up to his acclaimed 2017 album, Tarrant County. Over the next three days, Mark and producer Jason Weinheimer recorded six new tracks with a band that included Jessee Aycock (Guitar, lap steel, dobro, piano), Paddy Ryan (Drums and Percussion), and Weinheimer (Bass and keyboards). John Fullbright and Phil Bronchtein added additional piano, organ, and Wurlitzer, while backing vocal tracks were added by The Delta Soul Singers and Jaimee Harris.

Blues great Robert (McCollum) Nighthawk died November 5, 1967 at Helena, Ark.
He is buried at that city’s Magnolia Cemetery.

He still played the little blues joints in Missis- sippi and Arkansas; it seems that nearly every bluesman to come out of the Delta, from the '30s on up through the '60s, can recall seeing Nighthawk in some small-town juke joint. Nighthawk took over the King Biscuit show after Sonny Boy died in 1965, but that didn't last long. George Mitchell, on a field recording trip, recorded Stackhouse in Dundee, Miss., in August 1967, but by that time Nighthawk, who had just been in the hospital, could only back his cousin up on second guitar. Nighthawk thought he'd been given poisoned whiskey, but Stackhouse took him to a faith healer-a "preacher woman" in Arkansas who read fortunes with a deck of cards. Her diagnosis: Robert just had "that old-time dropsy." Stackhouse says, "She said she coulda cured him but it done run too long then... then she say he was a sinner, too. She say if he'd 'a been a Christian, she coulda probably done better with him." On Nov. 5, 1967, Robert McCullum, suffering from congestive heart failure, died of a myocardial infarction at the Helena Hospital. "Everybody liked him-he was a popular per- son," Kansas City Red reminisces. "He'd mind his own business and he wasn't no jealous-hearted musician... he coulda stayed up here in Chicago and played around as long as he wanted.
