Final breeding bird survey of the season completed at Warley Woods. Lots of fledglings around and some exhausted looking parents. Blackcap and wren still singing strongly. Unsurprisingly, the pond is now entirely dried up. #birds

Brilliant and memorable trip to the #Assynt region of #Scotland over Easter with the boys. Cracking weather, stunning scenery, some great wildlife, and tired legs. May need to return soon....

Pic taken last week at Ardmore point on the #RiverClyde during our half term trip to #Scotland. Shortly before being caught in torrential rain, hail, thunder, and lightning. Got soaked through and a tad scary. Eider, RB merganser, goldeneye, curlew, oycs best of the #birds on show.

Nice to see 50+ Redwing over Warley Woods this morning, heading S/SW. Also Mistle and song thrush, and unusually for here, a single meadow pipit #ukbirding

Nice to find the yellow-browed warbler at #SandwellValley today, hiding in an elder tree. How many 000's of these little beauties have passed through the country completely undetected? #migration

Good couple of days birding around #Spurn this weekend. Highlights merlin, little stint, short eared owl, whooper swan, and finally got in on the yellow browed warbler action. Winds from wrong direction for anything else but v enjoyable. 23k steps and sore feet now.
