Fun Fact: #OTD in 1972 the US Olympic hockey team took Silver with 6-1 win over Poland in Sapporo, Japan. The roster included 11 Minnesotans and 5 future Fighting Saints (plus a few other future WHA players.) #NHL #MnWild

#OTD in 1975 Governor Wendell Anderson proclaimed it “Gordie Howe Day” in Minnesota. Howe and his Houston Aeros defeated the Fighting Saints 3-1 that night at the St. Paul Civic Center.
