I wish this morning felt a lot less like watching the news in middle school when we kicked off an endless war for bullshit reasons in the name of justice. It's beyond enraging that the USA hasn't evolved at all in 20 years, and probably never will. Impeach everyone who was involved in this.

As 2025 draws to a close, and lots of folks start posting resolutions and goals and plans for 2026, I know it can be hard to think of a concrete thing to work on, so I'll offer a suggestion. Make it. That's all. Just make it to 2027 with me, and that'll be enough. <3

Just finished Wake Up Dead Man. What a Spectacular and amazing story. I think it might genuinely be my favorite of the Knives Out trilogy. I can't recommend it highly enough, do yourself a favor and watch it.

![BREAKING NEWS CONSUMER'S HANDBOOK
1. In the immediate aftermath, news outlets will get it wrong.
2. Don't trust anonymous sources.
3. Don't trust stories that cite another news outlet as the source of the information.
4. There's almost never a second shooter.
5. Pay attention to the language the media uses.
• "We are getting reports"... could mean anything.
• "We are seeking confirmation".. means they don't have it.
• "[News outlet] has learned"... means it has a scoop or is going out on limb.
6. Look for news outlets close to the incident.
7. Compare multiple sources.
8. Big news brings out the fakers. And photoshoppers.
9. Beware reflexive retweeting. Some of this is on you.
