Hello BlueSky 👋, this is where I am going to keep photos of the different things I create. I do pottery, painting, drawing, photography, and various fiber arts. Art brings me so much joy, I hope what I share does the same for you.
This is one of those where I basically was laying on a Philadelphia sidewalk to get, but so worth it. #rosewednesday #flowers #roses #pink #photographersunited #Photographersofbluesky #bloomscrolling

We have such a great few of this giant clocktower from our hotel room window. Took this photo last night.

When I went to take photos in my neighbor's garden, the bees were so docile and let me get surprisingly close, ended up with some great shots of my little bee friend #MacroMonday #PinkMon #ColorADay #WeekPforPink #Macrophotography #PhotographersofBlueSky

My contribution to today's #blueskyartshow theme of #glow is from the #philly Chinese Lantern Festival this summer.

I took a portrait taking class at Unique Photo in philly this weekend with Eli Infante. Really learned a lot about how to ask a subject to position themselves. #Stunday #BlueskyArtShow #Photography #Portrait #photographersofbluesky

Today's project from #potteryclass. This is my #handbuilding variation on the chip and dip bowl that is very common in beginner classes. This is the biggest piece I have ever made. This gives me major #beachvibes #tidesouttuesday

Hey #photographersofbluesky I have been trying to figure out between these two crops for a photo. The photo was taken at the #Philadelphia Magic Gardens, and that's where the show will be that I'm submitting this to. I've been staring at it for too long and need to submit tomorrow. Thoughts?

Ever go to crop a picture and the most visually interesting part of it is not in focus the way you want it to be because it wasn't set up in the initially intended shot? Just me? #beginnerphotographyproblems #macrophotography

Week 2, smoothed everything out and put on the underglaze. Going to finish it off with a clear coat next week but it should be done soon!

I sold my first piece of art last night! If you are in the Greater Philadelphia Area consider visiting the Little Luxuries exhibition at the Main Line Art Center and support local artists!

Spent the last evening of being 35 in the clay studio. First time doing slab work to build a freestanding form. Gonna make a series of these little guys. #handbuilding #slabwork #ceramics #pottery #catsofbluesky #cat #clay

This is a photo from this spring but I am finally getting around to editing some old ones. Cherry Blossoms are so fragile and you really only get a couple weeks to be able to enjoy them in person. #bloomscrolling #flowerfridays #pink #blossoms #flower #naturephotography #photography

We used the ceramic sushi boats that I made for our anniversary dinner tonight! Rory was clearly very impressed by my work and in no way was trying to get to the fish. #sushi #ceramics #pottery #handbuilding #glazing #handmade #clay

My husband found a bunch of our old film rolls and we got them developed. These have to be anywhere from 10-15 years old. The film is definitely expired, but I think they still are a fun time capsule for where my creative process has grown from.

Took another stab at post edit for this one in Lightroom. I feel like this is more balanced while still bringing attention to the raindrops. Photography is constantly a learning process.

I think one of my favorite things to #photograph is #flowers after it rains. There's always a chance it might break or damage the flower, but I think it's so beautiful when the rain drops haven't evaporated yet from the petals.
