In a way, I understand Starmers choice of Mandelson.
In an negotiation position, you tend to want all the leverage you can get. Mandelson with his background and reputation, could bring some additional leverage, but without the leaks.
There seems to interest in starting local investigations.

I have heard from pretty suspect sources, that some illegal pingvins has been spotted. There could be an opening for experienced dog catchers.

Probably the most cost effective marketing campaign O'Leary ever made.

Well, what can you say.
Let's hope US citizens get their tax refunds.

Seems like the old gard of Tories are either reformists or wanna be youtubers. And if I understand Jerrick correctly.
Reform has now enough competence to break UK another time.

In a way, I understand Jones.
First hand experience of killing people, can give an angle to the story. I'm not sure what he expected, but discussing fluoride & hormones doesn't exactly sound like news. More like listening Gen Z telling about their life experience.

Somehow the previous Tomahawk discussion, about possible escalation. Sounds a bit naive.

Parlament/Funkadelic, with Bootsy Collins & Nelson weren't that bad either.

Maybe it's time for Europe to accept US position.
Russia is a European problem and act accordingly.

Hoping Whitkopf is the NASA astronaut attending to the Sojuz flight. Isn't working.

Continued talks promised, probably during next shutdown. When polling was blaming GOP for the shutdown and dem's felt pressured to give in. If that's the complete story...
Are they expecting a different outcome next time?

Nice. Refreshing ideas, they must be using AI a lot.
I really look forward to be replaced by AI and have to pay for it.

If the business model has reached, it's hallelujah moment.
And it has taken years to make a profit.
So why is Burry shorting the stock?

Inaccuracy, so not like Top Gun?

Isn't a fictional movie, by definition to a degree, based on imagination. I really hope so. Or I have missed something.

School of thought and reform in same sentence.
That's a bit challenging to take in.
Anyway, I hope D Cummings will join the reform party. All these new people coming into reform. I have to wonder, if the reform party's cumulative IQ is increasing or Conservatives?

Agree, Europe has some challenges with regulations, which require changes. As a plus, it offers stability&predictability.

So if, you look at Europe from a traders or business owners perspective. You might have two different types of priorities.
Like crypto, is it like gold or a trade payment

Maybe he's building an advisory team.
A modest suggestion, Truss, Gove, Johnson, Bad enough and Priti could be vacant and interested.
Success granted, if it hasn't to do with tech.

Is there a moral hazard? If the game is survival of the fittest.

What's the difference between supporting directly local manufacturing via subventions. Or rising competitor prices using tariffs. In the end, the leaner and meaner competitor usually wins. The rest just stays fat as before.

Drain the Swamp, was a popular term for a while.
As a term, it's somewhat vague and misunderstanding is a human thing to do. So, if the news are correct. Maybe he just misunderstood how the term fits into current policies and acted accordingly?

At first English voters thought Farage would be best outside UK. Send him to EU, to piss off some Europeans. Locally no votes & a landslide in EU elections. As Brexit was completed, Europeans happily sent him back to UK.
Righteously, the one trick pony, is doing his best to mess up UK politics.

In my opinion the RFK Jr, should be on the short list as well.
At least as competent as Hassett and if chosen.
The US average life expectancy could have a chance to rise.

Nah, She just understands the publicity side better, compared other MAGA looney tunes. Those who think you can bomb children and let famine kill the rest.
Sadly Gaza isn't closer to CCCP. Because that's the only country, where US bombs are off limits.
August 24, 2025 at 3:26 PM
A nice touch, but who is really running the show in US?
US announces they will sell ERAM's via Europe to Ukraine.
At the same time Pentagon is declaring that ATACAMS can't be used to attack CCCP. Information can't be provided to Five-eyes. My bet is that Europe & others, has got the message.

Unlawful?
If the Congress gives it's power away and somebody else uses it. Shouldn't you be asking Mike Johnson & Congress majority, why they don't do their job.
As you have seen lately, stupidity isn't illegal, just a state of mind. With no cure.
August 19, 2025 at 5:38 PM
Do they really want a NATO country to collaborate with Russia against Ukraine. Orban must be jumping of joy.

I must have been misinformed, because I thought the reason for attacking Ukraine, was Ukrainian NATO plans?
