On this day, in 1909, Nicholas Winton was born. He was the initiator of the Kindertransport of 669 mainly Jewish children from Czechoslovakia to Britain just before the borders closed in 1939. Most probably all would have been murdered in camps. `One Life` , the film, tells this.
