When Paizo unionized, I got a raise amounting to thousands of dollars. I also get a higher cost of living salary increase every year in addition to my seniority salary increase. I have incredible job security. I have advocates if I have grievances. Unionizing is hard and scary but so worth it.

I understand. Using a 3rd party to contact content creators to promote your tabletop game is easy. They got a list of people to contact. So I get it.
But I’m going to say no every time.
Please invest time into talking with content creators and building relationships with them.

I’ve spent too much time today arguing on Facebook about how the board game manufacturing industry doesn’t have child labor and companies actually pay their employees livable wages. Even after I said that I have been to China and experienced it myself firsthand. They are truly brainwashed.

Not that I despise my how-to-plays or unboxings; but the amount of time is significantly shorter and less stressful than trends or the silly-fun videos.
The never ending cycle of the Welcome2Boardom content…
-follower “you should do more content specifically talking about your board games”.
-puts more effort into how-to-plays, etc.
-posts content, gets less than 100 views, AND follower doesn’t see it

One thing you gotta love about ai art is that it's gonna start learning off of other ai images eventually imploding ai art so it just becomes slop and people stop using it

GenCon will forever be my most hated convention.
As a tabletop game industry worker, it’s a nightmare for me to plan.
As a gamer, it seems fine. I doubt I’d enjoy it if went on my own decision and not for work.
I’m just venting because I’ve already started planning for it.
