I'm not against AI in data use in football, but I don't really want the same guys who run the CCTV running the recruitment room...

I'd be much more impressed if the club put together a team of experienced football recruiting execs with a track record of using established leading data systems

Player ➡️ Coach ➡️History maker ➡️ Bev Yanez ⭐

Under her leadership, Racing went undefeated in October, earning the club’s most successful season to date and clinching their FIRST playoff appearance in club history.

Tonight's even more proof the mainstream reporters who are still on Twitter are suffering from a brain problem akin Havana Syndrome that is preventing them from accurately doing their jobs. They are being cooked alive by a snuff-focused apartheid algorithm.

I cannot recommend Tiv Rushesha's Youtube channel enough - check out his latest video to see a bunch of remonstrating and dancing on a ping pong table 😂

Some early tweaks for Leam's #readingfc

Jacob very high here in buildup. Puts Lane into the half space and draws attention

3-2 buildup where one of the 6s or GK will help to create an angle

This goes thru Stevens to the underloaded weak side where Doyle finds a soft spot to turn upfield

Which First XI do you think is better?

Lined up what I think was #readingfc at "full strength" in the second half of last season vs what I think was probably our strongest lineup of this season

I'd say 24/25 is clearly stronger on defence but the attack is better this year in my opinion

If I were a sports referee I would simply bet on the games I was reffing, and use my authority to influence the games so I always won.

Then I would use the money to fund a revolution socialist party set on destroying bourgeois democracy and replacing the with proletarian democratic centralism.

RATINGS: Good evenings from O'Connor, Savage and Ehibhatiomhan key in tonight's narrow #readingfc win over Northampton.

I do recommend reading James' article on TTE today!

I obviously have some pretty strong feelings about the football #readingfc are playing that put me in the opposite camp but this piece is well reasoned.

Even when I don't fully agree, I think James raises some valid points

A few too many unforced "errors" today to use some Baseball parlance

A better overall performance from #readingfc though today including from Noel

Reading under Hunt get 27% fewer touches in the box vs the same team under Selles in 23/24.

And make no mistake, that 23/24 team was good, not great, so it's not like we're comparing to perfection

Good video.

Backing up your point, we’re:

8th (in L1) for accurate passes
12th for possession

but only:

16th for touches in opp’n box
18th for corners
21st for xG
22nd for accurate crosses
1 of 5 teams not awarded any penalties.

i.e. we’re passing the ball around but not doing much with it…

I found a #readingfc stat that wound me up so much tonight that you guys are getting an unhinged video tomorrow morning...

If you want to hear where Ben and I were at with Selles on October 9 2023, check out this old episode of @thetilehurstend.bsky.social pod.

Interesting to hear what we had to say about a manager who turned things around. This was before Selles moved away from 4222

16 shots for #readingfc but most of them from this cow pasture

Mansfield with 7 shots in the box to our 6 and 3 right in front of the keeper. That's the kind of chance I'd like to see us work more often

I do like the players at least, and think we've assembled a pretty decent squad.

Another #readingfc complaint from yesterday's pod

Reading are actually AHEAD of their expected points total for 25/26

So far, Reading have been the second worst team in the league on balance of play.

That speaks to players who are better than the game plan allows
October 2, 2025 at 3:43 PM
So here's the big question from yesterday's pod

Which #readingfc young player in the first team has improved under Noel Hunt?

Ashqar Ahmed and...?

I'd be lying if I said I didn't see positives today

Next step is putting together a consistent 90 minutes of football, rather than abdicating a half of the game before getting into it
RATINGS: Joel Pereira, goalscorer Jack Marriott and substitute Matt Ritchie were @webberross.bsky.social's standouts in a flawed but dogged #ReadingFC performance at Stockport.
