The Sun blasted out an X-class flare of the Sun and that means the aurora may be visible Jan 20-21. A G4-level geomagnetic storm is forecast, which can cause some havoc to unprepared grids and such, but it also means the aurora is sometimes visible in NorCal and Alabama.
