If someone looked at your game collection from 10 years ago, what would they see?

Trading cards used to live in pockets, binders, and shoeboxes. But now they live in slabs and spreadsheets. I'm not sure it's as much fun anymore. Everything is so expensive!

PSA: Not finishing a game doesn’t mean it wasn’t important to you! Some games mattered for a moment, not the ending credits. What’s a game you never finished but still think about?

It’s been over 2 years since the first GTA 6 trailer dropped. Let that sink in 🤯

There was a time when getting a new game meant rearranging your shelf to make space for it. Physically taking a game out to put a new one in its place.

Whilst I appreciate we're a more 'digital' these days, do you still organise your collection by console, franchise, or is it just pure chaos? 😂

Do you remember those movies you watched on a dodgy TV or scratched DVD? The imperfections became part of the memory. Which do you remember and why?

I miss when game boxes had personality. Big logos. Weird taglines. Box art that barely explained the game but somehow sold it anyway. Did you buy anything based off that whilst knowing nothing of the actual game?

I heard the Xbox 360 startup sound the other day and it put me into a specific year of my life. Which console boot-up still lives rent-free in your head?

I miss when trading cards were traded, not instantly graded. That playground was buzzing at lunch time.

Remember Blockbuster? 😅. The time when renting a movie felt like an event. You had to choose one, take the case to the counter and be happy with your choice. No scrolling for 40 minutes.

Do you agree with me? Some games were perfect because of their flaws, limitations, and rough edges and should never be remade, no matter how good the tech gets

I genuinely think opening a game case used to be part of the experience. Manual, artwork, that new‑plastic smell, it set everything up. What’s the best game manual you remember actually sitting down to read?

There’s something about holding a game case in your hands that a download will never replace. Do you own a physical item purely because of the memory attached to it?

If someone judged you only by your movie shelf, what would they assume about you?

Tell me I'm wrong 😅. The PS2 era was gaming’s creative peak.

@thepkmnprof.bsky.social is this the digital equivalent of a god pack? 😅. I opened it and instantly thought of you

What’s a game you hated at first, but eventually grew to love and what changed your mind?

What’s your go-to “comfort game”?

We all have that one title we return to when we want to relax, reset, or just escape for a while.

The original Animal Crossing on GameCube had fully playable NES games hidden inside. Stuff like Donkey Kong, Excitebike, and Balloon Fight. Players essentially got a mini retro collection for free.

What’s your favourite hidden bonus or Easter egg in a game?

No game has ever divided players quite like The Last of Us Part II.

Were you emotionally wrecked, totally hooked, or left feeling betrayed?

In The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, the development team initially experimented with first-person camera perspectives before ultimately choosing third-person to better showcase Link’s character and gear.

How do you think iconic games would feel if their camera perspectives were flipped?

You’ve got one game to replay for the first time with no memory of ever playing it before.

What game would you choose to experience all over again, completely fresh?

The original Halo: Combat Evolved was nearly a real-time strategy game before it became the FPS icon we know today.

What do you think about the CE remake?

What’s a boss fight that completely changed how you viewed the game?
