This is due to the refreezing of melted snow and snow blowing onto roadways, creating slippery travel conditions for the evening commute. This is resulting in many traffic delays, accidents, and hazards

Some more snow showers will continue on and off through the day, especially in the mountain areas. And it is COLD! Temperatures today will only be in the upper 20s to low 30s with wind chills in the teens and 20s.

An end to the 40-day government shutdown is in sight as a group of moderate Democrats agreed to a path forward.

The group agreed to move forward without a guaranteed extension of health care subsidies, creating tension with others in the party who wanted to continue the fight.

This morning's wet weather is slowly tapering off, but more showers return later. The showers will start as rain but as temperatures drop, they'll turn to snow through the Champlain Valley and North Central Vermont. Northern New York will continue to see snow showers as well.
