It was the coldest January night in 15 years (to be fair it was only -3 here) and I went for a run before sunrise, in order to finish before the ParkRunners (who really get in the way). My head was saying ‘stay in bed and keep warm’ but my heart was saying ‘yes, yes, yes! 😊’ ❄️🏃🏻‍♀️❄️🏃🏻‍♀️❄️

I was promised snow by The Met Office for my run this morning. I love running in snow. Unfortunately, I got a light frost. But there’s blue sky above that mist, so a good day is in store ❄️🏃🏻‍♀️❄️🏃🏻‍♀️❄️

First run of 2025 done ✔️ Braved the wind but had to run through an underpass completely flooded up to my knees. I’ve got very soggy shoes now 😔

Portentous start to the New Year. Gales, driving rain and snow forecast in the Lake District. Let’s hope it’s only blowing away the cobwebs of 2024. Happy New Year to all 🥳
