Sad news today from @warlordgames.com, co-founder Paul Sawyer, famous for his leadership of White Dwarf during the legendary 90s and 00s, has passed away after a battle with cancer. We extend our condolences to family and friends. Sad times.

Nothing too exciting today, just getting some primer down and trying to figure out colors on these Mandrakes. Another model/unit I’ve just wanted to paint recently.

I’ve got that post-event hobby butterfly going on, so tonight I’m finally getting the Brothers Glott together and all on the same base.

All ready for Holy Wars. It was a nice change of pace to use an army that was already mostly painted, and just had to jam out the heroes, spells, and a harvester.

I always enjoy the extreme angle magnet test once I’m done with the army. It’s fun, but it also gives me an idea of how level (or not) I need to keep the army while moving between tables.

And Be’lakor is done. I wanted to use the art from Broken Realms as an influence, while incorporating my other Chaos and StD elements. I’m super happy with the end results, and am excited to hopefully get him on the table later this year.

Base primed, red got its first highlight, and some more work done on the big guy. A shame he’s apparently the Meta choice right now. Guess I’ll just have to put him to work in the herohammer list after the eventual nerf.

It’s been a rough couple of days with the family but I needed a little normality tonight. Just brushed the wings for some more highlights, and picked out some base colors for the chains and trim on the armor to give me a better idea of the color spread on the model

Not a lot of time to fight with the airbrush, but managed to get the skin tones down on the wings before they get their wash and highlights.

Clogged up my airbrush really good tonight, so had to pivot from the wings to the random stuff on his torso and extremities. But overall happy with where he is so far.
