Preparing for a PhD defense - statelessness - next week in Sweden where I’ll have the honour of being the “Fakultätsopponent“. Recalling Lévi-Strauss‘s concept of binary oppositions, I wonder why “being against“ seems easier to think than “being with“? Why “opponent” and not “orator” or “opinator”?
