And I don't know what's up with their algorithm, but I don't care about either of the regular videos at all. It's like they are offering my junk to make me focus on the shorts

There's no option to select which services you need and which you don't. An 50 MB indie that simply needs a store page pays the same % as a 50 GB game that uses all the services.

can someone explain to me why it is good when valve takes 30% from devs and bad when google and apple do the same?

I like steam... it is good. I have steam deck. don't kill me.

FM synthesis is responsible for so much video game music. So many arcade games, consoles, musical keyboards and computer sound cards were powered by FM synthesis. With Yamaha at the top of the game.

My very first game soundtracks and some of the earliest music I heard in my life were FM synth songs
So cool to hear John Chowning just won a Technical Grammy for his invention of FM synthesis in 1967!

How do we structure society so that we don't reward psychopathic behavior? I always hear idiots say, "well, that's just human nature." Yeah? So is sharing, creating, helping others, etc. Our society rewards and protects the worst humans at the expense of the rest of us and it's hard to watch.

The Iron Lung soundtrack is currently no. 2 in the ost category on @bandcamp.com only to Valve's official account which just announced a preorder for HL: ALX vinyl.
I will gladly and happily take that.

Tofu, maitake mushrooms, fermented mustard stems and my homemade seasoned soy sauce... With spicy squash on the side. More flavorful than any meat I've had recently.

As I gotten older, I've started to realise more that just hanging out in a cool game world can be enough and doesn't need to be filled with super innovative mechanics all the time (especially if the games are short!)

I feel like you're very one-sided and a bit fanboy/girl for steam. So, I'm done. There's allegations for almost every company and I'm weary from it. discriminationandsexualharassmentlawyers.com/valve-corpor...

I won't block you because you seem a decent person, but I don't have energy for this.

you're mostly just being a pedantic/bad faith... So, I'm not going to waste any more time with this argument (I won't respond to any points again)... but post links to the transphobia since that sucks.. I'd say CDPR's stuff was mostly inclusive, so I didn't know this was a thing.

I "license" thousands of games on Steam due to its convenience, but I'm not a fanboy and I know GoG is far better for game preservation, offline access, and ownership of the files. Ultimately, I have a LOT of physical media as well.
January 14, 2026 at 7:06 AM
I'm going to assume you may be a bot because you're saying some very weird things. YES, you buy the game in order to own it and get the offline installer. Does steam give things away for free? The majority of steam games can not be copied like you say, but you get offline installers on ALL gog games

I would have to re-read some stuff to answer your question... but I will say this: I have an RGB trinitron and it looks too good. I MUCH preferred my old Magnavox with S-video, but I sold it like a moron. The Trinitron is so sharp it makes the pixel art look too harsh imo- it's a preference thing.
