BaoBan was inspired by the howling coyote in the DESI logo, originally designed by Robin Lafever. DESI scientist
@clairelamman.bsky.social later brought him to life, showing his adventures in science outreach, and occasional flirtations with the dark side.

I'm glad to announce our recent work 'Quanutm Gravity meets DESI'(2504.07791) accepted by JCAP, using Swampland Conjecture to understand recent DESI data about dynamical dark energy.
