A small tourist tax is an excellent idea. It could raise much needed cash but the money should come direct to the local councils so we can use it for extra security, street cleaning, public realm improvements etc. www.theguardian.com/business/202...

It's was a delight to kick-off the renovation of Grosvenor Square - improved drainage, planting, biodiversity, toilets etc. Many thanks to Grosvenor but it's rather obvious I live in a flat and don't know how to hold spade. The Lord Mayor is much more professional.

I'm really pleased with the new mural on Harrow Road. It's opposite Queens Park Library and is the first part of @citywestminster.bsky.social improvements to the little park by the canal. We're also planting that area of hardstanding by the wall to deter tagging and other ASB at this location.
