If you fancy some middle-grade sci fi full of big twists and mind-bending science, you won't go wrong with @vsnelson.bsky.social's #TheGirlWhoSoldTime. This fun novel brought to mind Studio Ghibli, Villeneuve's Arrival and Michael Ende's Momo. All good things!

Thank you so much! I fully agree with everything you've said. 😁

Managed to get myself a ticket to see Angelfish play in Edinburgh next year. Very pleased by this!

Wonderful. I'm sitting next to the weirdo on the train who's running a knife up and down his bare legs.

Well if only I'd seen this earlier. Bought my copy from Waterstones today...

Currently wrestling with Facebook ads. Some days I sell a book, and then suddenly I don't for a few days. I'm sure there's a trick to them, but if there is, it remains hidden.

I'd recommend Takopi's Original Sin. Not a happy anime, but a good one.

Bought! I'm always on the lookout for more middle grade science fiction! It's had to find.
My book also has giant robots, but they're all broken ☹️

What do you tend to do at your school visits? Is it just a talk, or do run workshops with the students too and teach them about crafting stories?

Hard to say. But your quote holds true. There's so much knowledge out there, especially in fundamental physics. If I can find a way to share some of that with young readers, then I'll do it.

I had my first school author visit this week.
I talked about my books, writing fiction and science.
I really enjoyed myself and it seems like the kids did too. Despite my first book coming out in 2017, this is the first time I've put myself out there and been an author in a public space.

The Girl Who Sold Time is in good company on the Audible new releases @christopheredge.bsky.social
Though I have no idea why my book is so much more expensive than Escape Room: Game Zero (I don't set the price)

Instant love for the new @garbage.com album. I know I'm a huge fan, but not every album hits me like this one has - it's so deliciously dark in places.

Ah cool. I'll get the paperback. Not convinced by ebooks.

Is it ebook only?

I really enjoyed House of Leaves. Plus, it's one of those books that, even if you don't enjoy it, you can appreciate the effort that went into creating it.

Looks great! Best of luck with it.

I'll check on Monday!

Have you already revealed the title? Was I not paying attention?

It would be amazing if there were platforms out there that allowed me to do book giveaways just for children - you know, the intended audience of my books!

Rewatching Requiem For A Dream.
I love it. There's something about Sarah's descent that really captivates me.
