that he is Pridnestrovian, and sells these things, and I'm just some American with an interest in history. And I'm glad I made the decision to purchase these items because a few days after I did the main website of the black sea cossacks posted this photo

These chevrons all depict items that are core to either cossacks or orthodoxy, with the top patch straight up having "Tiras" (Likely short for Tiraspol) on the patch. Previously, I doubted Sergei when he has shown me items I am unfamiliar with, but I do have to stop and remind myself...

My boy Sergei offered me some cossack morale patches from the black sea cossacks recently. I typically don't care for morale patches as they be purchased and used by anyone, not just my target collecting area, but I decided to make an exception for these.

This isn't a bad thing either, it's just simply the culture of the markets. Here in the United States, it's typical to fake a positive attitude, and sometimes even lie to sellers that you will consider their items, even if you have no intentions of buying them, all in the name of being polite.

I'm used to interacting with older, more invested Eastern Europeans, in the sense that they want to have a conversation, and maybe even educate me on the history of the item I'm purchasing. Where as the mainly Chinese markets I had to go through to buy this uniform, they just want your buisness.

I was finally able to get my hands on a MNDA Army uniform. This one is in an unissued condition.

Collecting items out of Myanmar has been quite the challenge, as its forced me to rethink how I interact the markets.

In addition to this, I was able to aquire his PMR military documents, his USSR military documents, and his disabled veteran's documents from his service in the soviet aghan war.

He passed earlier this year. I have been told his family did not want his documents.

Today, I was also able to pick up a Order of Honor from Pridnestrovie, named to Vitaly Borisovich.

It's fairly uncommon for me to aquire the document booklet along with the award so that was nice.

I picked up a prayer book from the Slobodzeya district Black Sea Cossacks, and a "Defense of Pridnestrovie" badge.

Unfortunately, neither of these are named, but I am happy to finally have some documents from the Black Sea Cossacks in my collection.

Finally got around to making an account on here. Not quite moving from Twitter just yet, going to experiment with posting on both for the time being.
