I was proud to stand with the students of Modesto as they exercised their constitutional -- and California Ed Code backed -- right to protest. These are the people who will inherit whatever our current leaders leave them, but they aren't standing idly by.

In one year, ICE, DHS, and CBP have killed 8 people. An additional 9 people were shot and injured, and 20 people have died in custody. This is reprehensible. Lives are on the line, and Congress must act immediately and urgently.
