Gratitude Week, Day 5: Thankful today for everyone working to build stronger, more resilient communities: The small business owners, veterans, first responders, volunteers, organizers, dog rescuers, teachers, and champions for our communities.

Happy Thanksgiving from Team Masuda! I hope that your holiday is filled with great memories and time with those you love.

This is disgusting. Hate has no home here. Period.

The benefit to help survivors of the Chinese Camp fire was a huge success -- over $125,000 raised that will go directly to the Sonora Area Foundation's Chinese Camp Recovery Fund. This is what community looks like. https://ow.ly/sBWu50XwAr9
Tuolumne County Comes Together To Support 6-5 Fire Chinese Camp Victims
A fundraiser was held last night with the money raised to benefit those victims as they continue to rebuild their lives.

We can't afford chaos at FEMA. When disaster strikes, this agency is supposed to be a beacon of hope for survivors of natural disasters. When will Congress take the needs of the people, especially in District 5, seriously?

Which is it, Tom? Not too long ago, McClintock's thoughts on the Epstein files were "file it under things I don't care about." Tom McClintock can keep changing his stance, but we keep receipts. #releasethefiles

Wednesday Wonderings: How is Tom McClintock able to represent our needs when he won't even sit down with folks to have a simple conversation?
November 18, 2025 at 3:15 PM
Recently, I had the privilege of speaking to government students at Amador High School. These bright, ambitious young people are the future of our community.

If you make $30,000 per year or less, the Big Beautiful Bill has a surprise for you: A tax increase that starts in 2029. Folks are struggling to get by, and this is how Tom McClintock's solution to the problem is to make it much worse.

Today, we honor the brave service members who have sacrificed for and served our country, including my mom and dad who are both Air Force vets. The enormity of their contributions cannot be matched, but from the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Where is Tom McClintock? He could be having town halls throughout the district during the shutdown. Instead, he's enjoying this vacation while the rest of us struggle to fill a grocery cart.
November 11, 2025 at 3:15 PM
Tom McClintock took a break from his vacation to make a cameo in Calaveras. You know what would be better? Actually DOING something about wildfires. Time for Tom to turn this Congressional vacation into retirement.
November 10, 2025 at 3:15 PM
How many times will entire communities be destroyed by wildfire before DC takes real action? Preparedness, resiliency, and protection are not out of reach. It just takes a leader who is committed to delivering resources back to home.

"Look for the helpers." - Mister Rogers

That's what we learned as kids. When someone is in trouble, look for the helpers and BE a helper. I'm happy to learn that everyone is ok, and perpetually unsurprised that in moments of need, Trump stands idly by
November 7, 2025 at 1:20 AM
Remember that one time Tom McClintock said “I put the Epstein matter in my don’t know, don’t care file.”? Yeah. We all do.
November 6, 2025 at 3:15 PM
My grandparents were forcibly removed from their home during WW2. Their crime? Being Japanese Americans. The fear and division that drove our country to put citizens into internment camps is not that far off from what is happening in our streets today. Period.
November 6, 2025 at 12:00 AM
Have you heard the line that no one can beat McClintock? Well, I've done the math and WE ABSOLUTELY CAN. I'm here to talk with the community. I'm here to solve problems. And I'm here to win.

Last year, Tenet (which owns hospitals throughout this district) made $4.1 billion in profits. Its CEO is the highest-paid healthcare CEO in the country, making $24 million in 2024. Our nurses are demanding patients over profits, and it was an honor to stand with them in solidarity.
November 5, 2025 at 12:00 AM
My parents are both Air Force veterans. The ongoing government shutdown means the men and women who serve our country are not guaranteed their next paycheck. It is a slap in the face to their dedication and service.

Dia de los Muertos in Riverbank was an amazing mix of remembrance and celebration. There was food, music, family, and community.

One woman designed 7 ofrendas to honor her family, and she was more than happy to let me share their stories.

There is truly more that unites us than divides us.

Sometimes running for Congress makes every day feel like Halloween. Our current representative hands out tricks, but talking to voters is always a treat. Have a safe evening, and never trade a Snickers for anything less than three bags of Skittles.
October 31, 2025 at 2:15 PM
One day left until Halloween! I was going to go as Tom McClintock, but sitting around and doing nothing isn't very fun.
October 31, 2025 at 12:15 AM
What unites us is far greater than what divides us, but the career politicians in D.C. seem to have forgotten that. Even before the shutdown, the government wasn't working for the people, and the suits on Capitol Hill are more focused on party platforms than doing their job.
October 28, 2025 at 2:02 PM
As an engineer, my job is to solve problems. The government has gotten really good at making more problems than it solves. It's time to change that.

Trump's demolition of the entire East Wing feels like an appropriate metaphor for the state of our nation, but we can't let that stop the fight to restore common sense in these uncommon times.
