Utqiagvik (formerly Barrow) saw its last sunset for 67 days the other day. As the northernmost town in Alaska, they won't have another sunrise until the end of January!

Fun fact: my parents taught there in the early 90's. I graduated a Barrow Whaler with 31 others in 1992.

If there was one thing I could tell every native woman, it’s that you really are capable of accomplishing anything you want at any age, and it doesn’t matter what it is as long as you’re happy. Whether that’s becoming a lawyer or a stay at home mom.
