Just had a quick look back at my Twitter feed, and absolutely all my “notifications” now are from hard right fruitcakes I don’t follow. It really is a cesspit.

This is extremely important. The nice people (or probably, bots) at #Facebook recently told me that someone impersonating me, using my photo, does not violate their community standards.

It appears that in the UK we are expected to enjoy new US-style oligarchy. It is suggested that Mr Musk intends to buy the next general election for Mr Farage. Oh dear.

I suspect the next few years will be largely about the destruction or the saving of liberal democracy. It is right now hard to be sure about which way the arc of the moral universe is going. I still hope it bends towards justice.

I arrived on Bluesky some time ago, but only today migrated properly from Twitter. It's exhausting, but satisfying I hope.
