'La Haine is an exploration of the tensions between French culture and that of its immigrant population. It’s also a film about boredom, and what happens to fill it under a climate of racism and police brutality'

In other news I am finding it IMPOSSIBLE to cut through on Instagram anymore with the stuff I have for sale. It's got way worse in the last week or two. Very close to giving up on it altogether

Sometimes my favourite part of these books are the additions that previous keepers have added to them, much like the purple stamp on the first page.

A real pleasure to be asked along to THE HAND OF SATAN IN THE SEA OF DARKNESS on Sunday 20th April in London. A weekend of deeply involved music and experimental sound with some artists I like a lot.

I will be doing my first ever in person pop-up in the day between 2pm and 6pm.

Unearthed from the hands of a very dusty mage - SECRETS OF THE OCCULT by C.A Burland. A 1972 compendium absolutely rammed with killer full colour photographs, illustrations and reference material.

I love this kind of book. One of those things you find as a kid and alters your brain chemistry.

Whole batch of bits being listed this Saturday. Took a LOT of willpower not to keep Ritual Magic and The King of the Shadow Realm Jesus wept.

"This song was triggered by meeting someone who had started hanging around our rehearsal rooms in King’s Cross. She was very Felliniesque and looked as if she had stepped out of 8 ½. She was an extremely eccentric character - she pulled a knife on another girl who was there. I was fascinated by her"
‘It was triggered by a Fellini-esque woman who pulled a knife on someone’: how the Only Ones made Another Girl, Another Planet
‘It wasn’t a hit at the time, but when it was later used in an advert, I got paid 100 grand. I was still using drugs and the money was gone in a year’

Currently reading. Painstakingly evidenced account of how intensely messy all of this lot were - documents, letters and other communications are all there. Genuinely hilarious in a lot of places. Blythe Road chapter is 😘👌
