Each year, about this time, I try so hard to find a way to not detest long cold winters so much. Each year the weather doesn’t support me and it’s so cold your flesh freezes in seconds and somehow I can’t get past that.

When people ask me when we put up our tree, I always smile and say we don’t. That way we don’t have to take it down either. Apparently this may be too much of a minimalist approach.

I fear it will be a long winter as Inky has taken to insisting on being carried out to do what she needs and then carried back. I believe the name of the game is…don’t step in the snow!

Inky discovered the joys of spilled milk today. OH discovered the joys of cleaning the floor…and the fact that dogs are pretty much lactose intolerant

We had snow today. Inky said “no” to the snow. The snow did not care. Inky is slightly crushed her bark-fest has had no impact.

Inky decided she needed to get a walk on. And by walk I mean run. And by run I mean pretending to be a galloping horse dragging me along.

I miss the days when leaves changed color and remained on trees for a long period of time. Here they start falling off as soon as they change color, probably because the snow is so early.

There is sure a limit to the amount of tea one can consume in a day. A safe limit, or even a legal limit. But here, across the pond, they flaunt such ideas. They throw caution into the wind and sip with much calmness.
