gay sex was a legal nationwide, before roe v. wade was a case, before brown v. board of education, before the ada was passed, etc. these things are quite recent. defend what we have and continue to push for liberation. the supreme court is not a reliable defense in the maga era.

i'm 18, and while i grew up with gay marriage being legal most my life, i have millennial relatives who didn't even see federally legal gay sex until their 20s. they are only in their 40s. there are people alive in their 50s, 60s, 70s, and even older who remember how life was like back before

younger liberals (and sometimes younger leftists) don't realize that the wins social justice movements got in the 2010s are not things that will be set in stone if they don't continue to defend them. yelling alarmism at concerned individuals won't defend these wins. you gotta actively defend them.

I don't believe there's necessarily a sense of original sin when it comes to propositions and ideas made by awful people with awful politics, but I think that we ought to be significantly, SIGNIFICANTLY more critical of them. (Example in 4 and 5)

- liberation to minorities with a hand wave of "you will be liberated after capitalism falls comrade" like that's any reassurance. And calls all minority fights for liberation as "splitting and causing infighting in the working class" indeed the proletariat can easily be replaced with the image- 2/4

The proletarian movement is the totalising movement. It subsume all other liberatory movements by saying "don't fight any other fight join us comrade for if the working class wins you win,everyone will be a worker so everyone will enjoy liberation" deflecting all worries that It will not bring- 1/4

I don't like being dishonest, which isn't me any favours. Rather than seeing this as an event for compromise though, this seems like a sure test of both the literature's character and it's strength in principle.
If that cannot even be consistent on the page, then it should not be trusted off of it.
