ICYMI: @abigaildisney.bsky.social in the @nytopinion.nytimes.com — Disney parks & Trump’s tax plan have one thing in common: catering to the ultrawealthy at the expense of the middle class. #TrumpTaxScam #EconomicJustice

Even Mitt Romney is saying the quiet part out loud: it’s time for the wealthy to pay more in taxes. The backlash from the WSJ editorial board says less about “sacrifice” and more about defending a rigged system. Budgets are moral documents and tax policy is about priorities. #StopTheScam

States will face new SNAP and Medicaid costs under the one big beautiful bill; many are already constrained by years of tax cuts that favored the wealthy. This moment makes one thing clear: budgets are moral documents, and priorities must center on people, not political giveaways.
Wave of Tax Cuts Has Left Many States Vulnerable to Trump SNAP and Medicaid Crisis
President Donald Trump’s so-called One Big Beautiful Bill Act will shift billions in costs for SNAP and Medicaid to states. But with 26 having cut or eliminated state income taxes just since 2021, the...

Trickle-down economics? More like trickle-NONE economics. #taxjustice #taxthewealthy
From 2018-2024, Delta made $7.993 billion, but got a tax refund of $375 million.

They then spent $3.9 billion on stock buybacks and $2.6 billion on dividend payouts to further enrich their wealthy CEOs and shareholders.

Tax cuts for rich corporations never trickle down.

Millions rely on ACA subsidies for stable, affordable care. Using health coverage as a political bargaining tool puts families at risk. The ACA is life-saving reform, not a pawn in some game. Health care access should strengthen democracy, not be chipped away by backroom deals.
Trump was going to roll out a health care plan. Then Republicans weighed in.
Lawmakers just have a few weeks left to reach a deal to avoid a massive premium spike for ACA enrollees.

There's a law on the books to make corporations pay taxes on the huge profits they report to shareholders.

The Trump admin has quietly decided not to enforce it.

This de facto corporate tax break will add hundreds of billions to the deficit.
