Can the kink community catch a break? We lost Scott Blair to cancer, TheBoundArtist90 to suicide, now this in just two years. Why can't I wake up one day and read HIS obituary instead of those of working class artists just trying to make a living doing what they love. Rest in peace we-r-nomad.
Earlier this week I found out my friend John Staton had passed away. I hadn't talked to him in years unfortunately but he was a big part of a foundational part of my life. Here's what I wrote over on FB with 2 pics from the June 2013 signing of his EMPOWERED oneshot with @adamwarren.bsky.social.

I barely knew Nomad, but he was one of the ones who drew one of the first images of Kyra ever some fifteen years ago.
