From the @ec.europa.eu State of the Energy Union report, it is clear that #EnergyEfficiency has reduced the energy burden to a substantial amount! More needs to be done to reach our 11.7% savings target, which can save us 162 billion Euros from our bills!

An interesting fact is that #RenewableEnergy expansion happens at a larger pace than grids and #EnergyEfficiency. To relieve the pressure on the grids, more energy efficiency is required globally, as social costs of efficiency are lower (if not negative) than energy production.

Is this the new reality that the Mediterranean countries will face? Is the #ClimateCrisis in its #tippingpoints already? Despite the #adaptation and #resilience measures in place, more efforts are required as the speed of disaster and natural restoration cannot cope with the measures' timelines..
The increase of the housing prices is directly related to #vulnerability of population and #energypoverty, as it correlates to expenditures and income indicators. How well are we prepared to tackle this dilemma (reducing energy costs without increasing housing prices?).
