When I submit an article, I usually include numbered section headings and even a ToC, which is usually scrapped by the editors before publication. This author (doi.org/10.11588/has...) has found an ingenious way to avoid such interference: Simply camouflage the ToC in your introduction!

On Nov 8–9, we had our Workshop on “Calamities and Countermeasures in Pre-modern South Asia”, which, for a workshop on such a topic, went surprisingly well.
