The fact that this has barely made the news for over two weeks is just devastating. At least three incarcerated men have died, and it’s not newsworthy?!? 41 of New York’s 42 prisons are striking! Inmates are in lockdown! It’s illegal striking and it’s dangerous.

For over seven years I’ve worked at a National Park site, and my NPS colleagues are some of the most devoted, creative, and generous people I’ve ever met. The jobs they do make free and accessible joy available to millions of people a year. These jobs and these places are important. 💚
