China gets vilified for "suppressing wages," but that's not the whole picture - they also suppress costs by negotiating hard on things like pharmaceuticals. A lot of folks seem to be ignorant or just ignoring that part.

This was one of the protests I went to today. Representative Moore's response is, frankly, insufficient and obscuring.

Dozens of protesters held signs Saturday outside of Timbermine Steakhouse in Ogden while DOGE co-chair Rep. Blake Moore held a luncheon inside.

I don't know, but I feel like America has forgotten Marie Antoinette, and all her history entailed. I certainly don't know as much as I should, but what I do know seems pretty relevant today.

I had the pleasure to join two protests in Utah today. I learned so much, and it was so heartening to see folks putting so much of themselves into it.

I was positive I would never hear anything like "Tax the rich!" in Utah.

It does occur to me how absolutely insane it is for an elected official in Utah (and pretty much any typically red state) to ignore or belittle political charged unrest.

This is my state - glad to see some pushback on representatives.

However, these congressman are not listening to their constituents. Further, court orders HAVE been ignored, so this is all just deflection and ridicule.

Two Utah GOP representatives hosted a town hall. They were met with shouts of ‘shame’ and ‘do your job.’

I don't get it. I'm a Tech Bro, too. AND I love being a consumer. We see some amazing innovations from a flourishing Tech Sector.

The wrong people took over the Tech Sector. The kind we used to relegate to the recesses of 4chan with societal shame, online and in the streets.

This is disgusting. Our Department of Commerce Secretary is calling anyone who complains about not receiving Social Security checks a "fraudster." This is who is over the agency Trump has talked about strong-arming the USPS under.
Secretary Lutnick: You are a billionaire.

Maybe your mother-in-law wouldn't complain if she didn't get her Social Security check, but tens of millions of seniors struggling to survive would.

They're not fraudsters. They earned it.

How out of touch are you not to realize that?
BREAKING: Trump's billionaire Commerce Secretary says that seniors won't care if they don't get their Social Security checks — and that anyone who does complain is a fraudster.

Possible you have heard some outsized negative sentiment around him from certain online communities. Know that he does not get a fair shake from said communities.

Museums and Libraries are next.
Starting to feel very Bradbury, indeed.

Museums and Libraries are massively efficient already, and are some of our most beloved institutions. This will also affect any online Library services and more.

Wait - so let me get this straight. Cuts to the DoE, speculation that student loans and grants will go to the SBA (Small Business Administration), and today Trump is announcing a 40% cut in staff to the SBA.

How is any of this sensical?

AOC: I want to live in an America that guarantees healthcare to every person.

I want to live in an America that has a living wage for every person

I want to live in an America where you have free speech to express yourself and not be afraid of being put on a list or deported.

Being massively financially successful is fine. We have plenty of money in this world.
Being individualistic is fine. We have space for one another.

Being massively financially successful at the expense of a another individual, groups of individuals, or populations of individuals is not.

Plot twist: The Democratic party abuses that imaginary term "woke," as well. And the most recent Democrat candidates, followed by the party's lack of spine, cracked that wide open. They don't care either.

This is why SO many people feel disenfranchised, across our limited political spectrum.

Our Congressional and Senatorial representatives are increasingly ignoring their constituents voices, actively working against them, or both. This will have devastating consequences.

This will have devastating consequences. Nearly a million K-12 students in Minnesota rely on funding from the Department of Education.

Students in rural communities, low-income families, and those who need special education services will be hit the hardest.

Why aren't modern and historical foreign politics taught more in our schools? I'm talking K-12. I'm only learning anything about them (at least beyond basic fundamentals of Parliament, and the whole picture is not simple) because.

The reason people don't believe "leftism" works in America is because we don't have any truly leftist politicians. The closest we have is Bernie Sanders and AOC - but even in the grand scheme of global politics, they aren't "left."

Until primaries, they are our best hope.

I definitely wouldn't call "refraining from attacking energy infrastructure" anything close to a ceasefire. Especially if it comes with the cessation of any foreign military aid and intelligence to Ukraine.

No one should believe Vladimir Putin will be "reasonable" about Ukraine.
