Madera CA farmworkers are working on sweet potato hotbeds. Sweet potatoes are laid on the ground & covered w/plastic like a greenhouse. It start seed germination for this season's plants. They are opened during the day for airflow and closed at night to keep it warm. #WeFeedYou

This beautiful and inspiring little book surely has some good serviceberry content, but it’s also about envisioning a world where competition and hoarding aren’t the guiding principles. Highly recommended, particularly at this moment in time.
