#MrsPlaymen could merely be a shrine to the woman who burned Italy with scandals and naked bodies. That shrine, though, is simply a repetitive showreel.

‘Mrs Playmen’ (2025) Netflix Series Review - A Repetitive Showreel
Riccardo Donna tells the story at a brisk pace, giving the impression of cramming everything into a tight space for easy consumption. This cramming reduces the story to mere highlights.

Guillermo del Toro's #Frankenstein is a dud. An emotionally hollow, visually bland film devoid of passion and madness. Del Toro overdecorates his frames but can't conjure a sense of giddiness.

#HumansInTheLoop (now on #Netflix) belongs to its cinematographers and its actors. Writer-director Aranya Sahay only undermines the movie's strengths. He fills it with unimaginative, obvious touches.

‘Humans in the Loop’ (2025) Netflix Movie Review - Aranya Sahay's Self-Sabotage
Humans in the Loop suffers from obviousness. Its themes and text seem like traps for critics, inviting them to lap up its obviousness and feel clever about themselves.
