I posted this 3 months ago. If Congress doesn't sit, it can't stop anything. The insurrection has been running for 3 months. Nothing can stop it now.
As I understand the Big Beautiful Act, ICE will soon have a standing army larger than the National Guard, no member of which is required to swear allegiance to the Constitution. This is a recipe for insurrection and/or a junior version of the SS. Congratulations, Congress!

Highly unlikely that Government will succeed in recovering any of the PPE Medpro money. The legal threshold for recovering sums an insolvent company has already paid out is high. This is yet another reason why it was appalling that Gove et al chose to deal with tiny box-fresh VIP lane suppliers.
