The prosecutor-turned-President’s arrest is a fate not unknown to Korean presidents historically. The timing re: economic conditions and the alliance however is less forgiving than in 2004 and 2016 (last 2 impeachments)
Yoon Suk Yeol, the lionized prosecutor-turned-politician who led the impeachment of former president Park Geun-hye before becoming president himself, was arrested this morning on charges of insurrection related to his declaration of martial law.
