I think the most elaborate explanation why trump picks unqualified people for his cabinet because no one really wants to work for him. Working for trump is putting everything on the line and when he is gone, your rep or career is tarnished and no one would hire you!

People voted for Trump because they are afraid of what the country is becoming, diverse! Their votes had nothing to do with the economy or inflation! All of these are good. It's hard to believe that people will risk democracy over their bellies!
