Not really. For example in Australia, a VEI-6 (Pinatubo-level) eruption would would reduce national generation by around 1% to 3%. Effect would be seen on spot markets but covered by hydro, batteries and wind. Redn in energy use would also help as temps lower. Crop effects nothing to do with solar.

Very saddened to hear Kazuki Motoyama recently passed away. He was the man behind Kodansha’s Super Mario manga that covered a lot of Mario’s adventures, including spinoff games. I’m hoping the series gets a reprint one day.
